Watch out Fire fans!

Cuauhtemoc Blanco scored just 30 minutes into his debut match against Celtic FC on Sunday and almost single handledly earned the Chicago Fire a 1-1 draw against one of the top club teams in Europe.

And NOW, we'll be announcing the signing of Paulo Wanchope sometime tomorrow. Allegedly there is one more piece to the puzzle arriving by Friday. Let's keep our fingers crossed for Zidane. Okay, wishful thinking, I know. How about a damned Polish player? Please?

Either way, it was exciting to watch the Fire again on Sunday. Probably for the first time since I've been here, we played really attractive soccer. And now we'll have someone that can finish the beautiful chances that Blanco creates. So excited.

Awesome.

I'll take Polish player over Zidane. (Although Zidane would make for some great games...)

Every now and then when we're at the sports bar in town they have an MLS game on. Between cheering for the Fire, the Rapids, watching Beckham (eventually), and cheering against Houston, there's always plenty to watch. More televised games, please!

This video doesn't even do it justice, he actually pulled off the "Blanco Bounce" once and also trapped a long-ball sent to him with his butt. Unreal.

Every Thursday on ESPN2 there is the MLS game of the week. Make sure you watch those even though we only have one more, a road game at FC Dallas on Sept 20.
